Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan, Pakistan support each other on Nagorno-Karabakh, Kashmir
Baku – APA. Azerbaijan and Pakistan demonstrate mutual support on Nagorno-Karabakh and Kashmir issues, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev said in a joint press statement with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Baku Oct. 14.
The president noted that Azerbaijan supports the settlement of the Kashmir dispute on the basis of international resolutions, and Pakistan, for its part, supports Azerbaijan’s stance on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He emphasized that Pakistan has not established diplomatic relations with Armenia because of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by this country.
Pakistan has officially recognized the Khojaly genocide, added Ilham Aliyev.
Pakistan is an ally and is one of the closest friends of Azerbaijan, said the president, noting that the two countries support each other within all international organizations.
Political relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan stand at a high level, said President Aliyev, stressing the need to develop bilateral relations in the fields of pharmaceutics, defense industry, agriculture, tourism and transport fields.
