The 14th Plenary Session
The 14th APA Plenary Session was held on 21-24 February 2024, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.
This event, held under the theme” Fostering regional cooperation for sustainable development in Asia” brought together delegations from 24 member parliaments as follows:
Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Cyprus, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Maldives, Palestine, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Thailand, Tajikistan, Türkiye, UAE and Uzbekistan.
Observer Parliament of Oman and Turkmenistan and Observer Organizations of AIPU, AP, IPC, IPACIS, League of Parliamentarians for AL Quds, NAMPN, TURKPA, also participated at this important event.
During the Inaugural Session, the handover of APA Presidency from Grand National Assembly of Turkiye to the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan took place.

The plenary session exchanged views and made constructive discussions on the main topic of this session, which is related to strengthening regional cooperation for sustainable development in Asia, especially with regard to supporting intra-regional trade, cooperation in combating environmental challenges, and supporting the optimal use of Asian countries' resources.
The meeting finally ended its work issuing a Final Declaration.
The Declaration in part expressed deep concern over the rapidly and dangerously deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing the necessity of protecting civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law, and of respecting the sanctity of religious places.
