APA Political Committee concluded its work with successful outcome

APA Meeting of Standing Committee on Political Affairs wrapped up after two days of debates on several issues of great importance.
Lawmakers representing 14 APA Member Parliaments present in Baghdad had to consider 8 draft resolutions on issues of vital importance from regional and international aspects. The items considered by the APA legislators included:
“Good Governance, Rule of Law and Judicial Empowerment, Good Parliamentary Practices, Building Prosperity in Asia through Friendship and Cooperation, Asian Parliaments and governments Together for Prosperity in Asia, Harmonious Development through Democracy, Protection and Promotion of Multilateralism”,
At this two day event, participants considered tragic situation in Gaza as the key issue in a separate session and  adopted the draft resolution entitled “Parliaments’ Unwavering Support for the Palestinian People”.
Under this resolution, participants expressed their grave concern over the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and strongly condemned brutalities of the apartheid regime of Israel in the region.
The resolution on Palestine also called on international community to spare not effort to let justice be administered to the perpetrators of crimes against humanity to the apartheid regime of Israel.
