APA and CIS to develop parliamentary Cooperation

The Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) was granted observer status at the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the CIS (IPA CIS) as part of the initiative undertaken by the two parliamentary organizations to develop and enhance cooperation on the issues of mutual interest. 
The decision on granting observer status to the APA was taken by the Council of the IPA CIS at its meeting of 21 November based on the Resolution adopted to this effect.
As part of the initiative for enhancement of mutual cooperation between the two Organizations, the IPA CIS had already received observer membership in the APA.
